Shelving Racks

Shelving racks are available for a variety of uses in both homes and commercial buildings. Since shelving racks are able to be put together for a variety of purposes, before purchasing it is important to know what the end use of the shelving racks will be. Most shelving racks can be purchased at major hardware stores for home usage, while commercial shelving racks must be purchased from retailers specializing in commercial goods.

Shelving racks can be as simple as wire shelves used in a home, or as complex as large rack units put together for use in a commercial warehouse. When determining the proper shelving racks to purchase, the amount of weight that will be held on the racks is most important to evaluate. Industrial sized shelving racks can be built to withstand hundreds of pounds of weight on each shelf, and can be customized to fit in conjunction with other existing units. Wire shelving racks are used commonly in home garages to hold no more than a couple hundred pounds of storage, while bulk storage shelving racks are meant to withstand several hundred pounds of weight in commercial storage facilities. Additionally, shelving racks can be put together as moving or non-moving racks to allow for ease of access inside of a limited storage space.
